Last week the SkyPro team was proud to showcase some of the recent developments on the SkyPro swing analyzer. If you didn’t have the opportunity to visit the Orange County Convention Center to see the team - here is a quick summary of some of the most exciting updates.
New SkyPro V2 Application Announcement
The first version of SkyPro was released almost a year ago following last years 2013 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. After capturing over one million golf swings, and having the opportunity to work with golfers, instructors, and coaches all over the world the SkyPro team has completely rebuilt the application experience of SkyPro - building on what’s important, and refining what needed work. Last week we showcased the second version of the SkyPro application.
Putting Analysis
Last year SkyPro supported analysis of swings recorded from woods to wedges, this year version two of the SkyPro application introduces complete game analysis with putting integration. Along with the addition of putting recognition we have been working hard on coming up with innovative new checkpoints to measure and display during putting analysis. A final list of those parameters will be available when we ship the new application. See the screenshots below for our list of current measurements. It’s important to note the new version of the SkyPro application with putting integration WILL work with all previous versions of SkyPro hardware.
Improved Interface
We are constantly working to improve the overall usability of the SkyPro application. Working alongside golfers that use SkyPro really helped us understand opportunities where we could help better explain what was going on. This meant introducing more in-depth help and walkthrough literature throughout the app. You will now see more detailed information throughout the SkyPro app aimed to assist in the process of using the product.
This also meant expanding greatly on the individual swing checkpoint information. We wanted to provide detailed content for every parameter that is measured and reported by SkyPro. We’ve broken this down into what the parameter is, optimal positions and numbers for that parameter, and tips/drills to achieve those optimal positions.
Lastly, you will notice some slight visual and interface updates in the application. More than just a aesthetic overhaul - these updates allow us to take advantage of the new iOS7 operating system to increase the speed, responsiveness and reliability of the application. With these adjustments - getting around the application should be quicker and require less taps. Our goal has always been to present you with the data as efficiently and easily as possible. We really think version two of the SkyPro application does that.
Focus Mode
One of the most effective features of SkyPro has been the hands-free feedback of the Groove sessions. It’s great to be able to set your iPhone or iPad down and not have to interact with it while you are practicing. We wanted to expand on this idea of hands-free feedback so we built Focus Mode. Focus Mode allows you to select any three parameters to be displayed at one time on the screen. Simply swipe any of the three parameters left or right to display a different measurement. As you practice - these numbers are automatically updated with the newest data.
